I have learned a lot about copyright. The laws and regulations protect the originator of the product from people taking advantage of your product. The music, book, and movie industries and the need protection from the rest of the world duplicating their work. It is also fascinating how the copyright is protected for fifty year after a person is deceased. There are laws that protect everything in the world today and copyright is one of the best ideas yet. In the future I will definitely use the copyright on all of the things I want to protect. The youtube website is very informative to everyone about the copyright benefits. It is important for all publishers to know about this wonderful process. The year of the copyright and who is the publisher is vital information. The copyright and fair use for students is great for educators to teach the student how to protect themselves for cyber invasions.
I feel like this another phenomenon in technology. Not only can you research this very important information, but you can inform youself on how to protect you vested interest from people duplicating you creations. Laws and right governing us in society and the business world is not only a benefit ,but it is mandatory. Can you imagine not having any laws? This would be a terrible place to be. There has been many lawsuits over individual duplicating music every since the early 1900's. The copyright protections allows repercussion to the violators that abuses someone in the publishing business.

I like how you made us think about not having any laws. I couldn't imagine that with something as little as not having a copyright law, to all the other laws that really protect us. But we probably wouldnt have the music we have today or even the novels we have if people were able to steal other peoples work with no consequences. I learned a lot about copyright too! :)
